Biography Overview

Stuart Cochran is a trial lawyer with over fifteen years of experience litigating, trying, arbitrating, and mediating complex commercial, class action, and personal injury cases in state and federal courts across the nation—on both sides of the bar. At Steckler Gresham Cochran, Stuart is most actively involved in complex commercial disputes and consumer class actions. Most notably, Stuart is involved in consumer class actions relating to fraudulent food and supplement labeling, as well as cases involving adulterated and misbranded pharmaceuticals.

Stuart started his career in the trial section of a large, international firm, where he gained experience in a wide variety of cases across numerous industries, including energy, commercial real estate, telecom, IT, aerospace, accounting/audit, aviation, healthcare, logistics, commodities and securities. After being named to the Texas Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters in 2005, Stuart left Big Law to start Cochran Law in June 2006. During his time as a solo practitioner, Stuart primarily focused on contingent-fee plaintiff’s arrangements in commercial and class action cases, although he continued to be hired periodically by defendants, as well.

Stuart has represented clients in federal, state, and arbitration proceedings across the nation, including Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Maryland, New York, Colorado, Washington, D.C., Florida, Illinois, and California.
